Protection of selected soft targets during the Covid - 19 pandemic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce řeší problematiku ochrany měkkých cílů v průběhu pandemie Covid-19. Ochrana měkkých cílů je palčivé téma posledních deseti let a tato práce se snaží poskytnout ucelené informace, které čtenáře uvedou do této problematiky. Pandemie viru Covid-19 způsobila ve světě i v České republice různá bezpečnostní rizika, která měkké cíle dělala více zranitelné. První polovina této práce se pokouší vysvětlit důležitou terminologii, popsat hrozby a jak ochránit měkké cíle. V praktické části díky výzkumným otázkám a osobnímu šetření byly prověřeny vybrané měkké cíle za účelem zjištění stavu zabezpečení a jaký měla vliv pandemie na bezpečnost v těchto cílech. Výsledné hodnoty této závěrečné práce přinesly znepokojivé hodnoty v oblasti zabezpečení ve stavu normálním i v době pandemie. Závěrečná práce tedy navrhla možná doporučení, jež pomohou ke zdokonalení ochrany měkkých cílů.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the issue of soft target protection during the Covid-19 pandemic. Soft target protection has been a pressing topic for the last decade and this thesis seeks to provide comprehensive information that will introduce the reader to this issue. The Covid-19 virus pandemic has caused various security risks in the world and in the Czech Republic that have made soft targets more vulnerable. The first half of this paper attempts to explain important terminology, describe the threats, and how to protect soft targets. In the practical part, through research questions and personal investigation, selected soft targets were examined to determine the security status and what effect the pandemic had on security in these targets. The results of this thesis yielded alarming security values in both normal and pandemic states. Thus, the final work suggested possible recommendations that will help to improve the security of soft targets.
