Gypsy women and breast-feeding

V teoretické části práce je možné nalézt základní terminologii, fyziologii laktace, složení a druhy mateřského mléka a výčet problémů při kojení v prvních dnech po porodu, zejména ze strany ženy. Praktická část obsahuje kazuistiky žen, které mají alespoň dvě děti a nadále kojí.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of this Bachelor thesis is focused on the anatomy of the breast, the physiology of lactation, composition and types of breast milk. These chapters follow the chapter on positions while breastfeeding, problems in the first days after birth, especially from women and utilities of breastfeeding. The work describes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, not only for the mother, but especially for the newborn. The practical part focuses on the quality awareness of Gypsy women in the field of breastfeeding, which have at least two children, and to continue breastfeeding. Work should determine where these women receive information about breastfeeding, how they work with the obtained information and possible shortcomings in this matter to help solve the problem. The research has been done in Hodonín in form of structured interviews, from which was found that Gypsy women realize the importance of breastfeeding, but objectively Theky don´t have enough quality information about breastfeeding. With the technique of the asymmetric application of the child to the breast, did´t have a problem most of these women. But the quality of women's awareness about utilities of breastfeeding, was insufficient.
