Inhalačním traumatem se rozumí onemocnění dýchacích cest, které způsobuje poškození sliznice dýchacích cest inhalací produktů hoření nebo páry. Probíhající zánět může vést k vážným komplikacím jako je edém či ventilátorová pneumonie. Inhalation trauma means a disease of the respiratory tract. Inhalation trauma is causing damage to the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract by inhalation of combustion products or steam.
