Analysis of Depiction of Selected Aspects of Folk Culture in the Movie Midsommar
Abstract:
The goal of this thesis is to characterize and analyze the depiction of selected aspects of folk culture in the movie Midsommar. The selected aspects are: love magic, senicide (ättestupa and ätteklubba), the Hårgadansen dance, and fire-festivals. Abstract:
Cieľom tejto práce je charakterizovať a analyzovať zobrazenie vybraných prvkov ľudovej kultúry vo filme Midsommar. Vybranými prvkami sú: ľúbostná mágia, usmrcovanie starcov (ättestupa a ätteklubba), tanec Hårgadansen a slávnosti ohňa. Analyzované sú s pomocou dostupných odborných informácií o jednotlivých prvkoch a s ohľadom na koncepty využívané v skúmaní ľudovej kultúry.
