Marie-Sissi Labrèche : Borderline and La Brèche (Comparative Analysis of Literary Works and Theirs Cinema Adaptation)

Abstract:

Diploma thesis "Marie-Sissi Labreche: Borderline et La Breche (Analyse comparative des oeuvres littéraires et de leur adaptation cinématographique)" is concerned with the relation between literature and film and the process of transforming novels into one film adaptation. The thesis examines the novels Borderline and La Breche by contemporary Canadian writer Marie-Sissi Labreche and their cinema adaptation created by Canadian director Lyne Charlebois. My aim was to discover which technique of adaptation was used. Analysis of the main parts of the novels and the film enables me to determine whether the director followed the literary motif.

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce "Marie-Sissi Labreche: Borderline et La Breche (Analyse comparative des oeuvres littéraires et ed leur adaptation cinématographique)" pojednává o problematice vztahů literatury a filmu a postupy při přepise literárních děl de jedné filmové adaptace. Tato práce se zabývá romány Borderline a La Breche, od současné kanadské autorky Marie-Sissi Labreche a jejich filmové adaptace od režisérky Lyne Charlebois. Naším cílem bylo zjistit podle jaké adaptační metody byl film natočen, po analýze hlavních částí knih a filmu jsme schopni říct, jestli se režisérka držela literární předlohy.
