Kidney regeneration

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá regenerací ledvin. V úvodu této práce je obecně popsána stavba ledvin, jednotlivých částí nefronu a funkce ledvin. Další část je zaměřena na poškození ledvin a možné přístupy k jejich následné regeneraci. V práci jsou podrobněji popsány signální dráhy a jednotlivé růstové faktory, které se mohou v procesu regenerace uplatňovat. Na závěr je diskutován možný vliv kmenových buněk při regeneraci ledvin.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of kidney regeneration. At the beginning of this work are described the general structure of kidneys, individual parts of nephron and kidney functions. The next part of this work is focused on the kidney injury and possible approaches to the renal regeneration. The signal pathways and the individual growth factors that can be applied in the renal regeneration processes are described more detailed. Finally, the possible effect of stem cells in kidney regeneration is discussed.
