The goal of this thesis is to study classical non-malleability, encryption and message authentication and their mutual relation. We give definitions of non-malleability, encryption and message authentication in the so called matrix formalism, and derive necessary and sufficient conditions for sets of functions to provide them in a setting with cardinality of codeword space higher than the cardinality …more
