Impact of corporate culture on motivation of employees

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se týká vlivu podnikové kultury na motivaci zaměstnanců. Jejím cílem byla specifikace podnikové kultury vybrané organizace (konkrétně se jednalo o stanovení síly a typologie podnikové kultury) a určení jejího vlivu na motivaci zaměstnanců. Dílčím cílem byl návrh opatření, která by podporovala motivaci zaměstnanců ve vybraném podniku, a tím by bylo možné dosáhnout jejich vyššího pracovního výkonu. Použité výzkumné metody byly následující: dotazníkové šetření mezi zaměstnanci, hloubkový rozhovor s vedením podniku a zúčastněné pozorování v podniku. Na základě zjištěných údajů byla navrhnuta doporučení v oblasti rovnoměrného rozdělení práce, většího ohledu na názory, náměty nebo připomínky zaměstnanců, změny přístupu vedení k řešení sporů na pracovišti, důrazu na uznání (pochvalu) pro zaměstnance, zlepšení atmosféry na pracovišti, možnosti kariérního růstu a školení, větších možností odměn. Z výzkumných metod vyplynulo, že podnikovou kulturu firmy Ekofiltr, spol. s r.o. lze považovat za silnou a typově úkolovou.

Abstract:

A diploma thesis concerns the impact of the corporate culture on the motivation of employees. Its aim was to specify the corporate culture of a chosen company (specifically, it was the assessment of its power and the typology) and its impact on employees. Another aim was to propose the recommendation for the support of the motivation of employees which would increase their working performance. Following research methods were used there: a survey among employees, a depth interview with the management and a physical observation in the company. On the basis of acquired data the recommendation concerned the areas of the uniform division of work, a higher respect of the views, ideas or comments of employees, a change of the access of management to dealing with disputes at working area, the duration on recognition of employees, improving of a working atmosphere, possibilities for career growth and training as well as more opportunities for rewarding. It is known from research methods that the corporate culture of the company of Ekofiltr, spol. s r.o. is strong and focused on the tasks.
