Safe care when using borrowed and own surgical instruments

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá bezpečnou péčí o vlastní a zapůjčené chirurgické instrumentárium. Teoretická část je věnována vlastnostem a rozdělení chirurgických nástrojů, kompletní předsterilizační přípravě a samotné sterilizaci. V teoretické části jsou dále zmíněna pracoviště provádějící sterilizaci. Závěr této části je zaměřen na roli perioperačních sester v péči o chirurgické instrumentárium. Praktická část je rozdělena na dvě části. První část se zabývá problematikou zapůjčování sít z pohledu perioperačních sester. Pro první část byl vytvořen dotazník vlastní konstrukce. Druhá část se zaměřuje na dlouhodobě zapůjčené chirurgické instrumentárium, u kterého se zkoumají parametry předsterilizační přípravy a sterilizace. Výsledky obou částí výzkumu jsou znázorněny pomocí grafů a tabulek.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with safe care of own and borrowed surgical instruments. The theoretical part is dedicated to the characteristics and categorization of surgical instruments, complete pre-sterilization preparation and sterilization itself as well. There are also mentioned the departments providing sterilization process in the theoretical part. Its last chapter is focused on the role of perioperative nurses in taking care of surgical instruments. The practical part is divided into 2 parts. The first one deals with the issues of loaning surgical instruments from perioperative nurses´ point of view. For the first part a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The second part is focused on long-term borrowed surgical instruments and their parameters of pre-sterilization preparation and sterilization. The results of both parts of the practical section are presented while using graphs and tables.
