Tyrosin hydroxylása je enzym produkující L-DOPA, která je prekursorem neurotransmiteru dopaminu, který může být v dalších krocích transformován na hormony adrenalin a noradrenalin. Kromě toho, hydroxylace L-Tyrosinu je rychlost určující krok biosyntézy katecholaminů. Abstract:
Tyrosine hydroxylase is an enzyme producing L-DOPA that is precursor of neurotransmitter dopamine which can be in other steps transformed to hormones adrenaline and noradrenaline. Moreover, hydroxylation of L-Tyrosine is rate-limiting step of catecholamine biosynthetic pathway.
