Phonological adaptation of English loanwords in a selected language

The topic of this thesis is an analysis of the phonological adaptation of lexical borrowings from English to the Slovak language. Its main aim is to describe how English phonemes are transformed and adapted to particular Slovak counterparts. Témou práce je analýza fonologickej adaptácie lexikálnych výpožičiek z angličtiny do slovenského jazyka. Cieľom práce je vysvetliť, akým spôsobom sú anglické fonémy nahradené a adaptované na jednotlivé slovenské náprotivky.
