This diploma thesis deals with issues of cultural diplomacy, national branding, and imagology on the translations of Czech literature into Ukrainian after 1989. The main hypothesis of the thesis is that the translation of literary works is a source of a large amount of information about the culture and therefore intensively shapes the image of such culture in other one.
