Physical properties of aqua solutions of PVA

Abstract:

V této práci byla získána data pro hustoty, viskozity a rychlosti zvuku pro pět roztoků polyvinylalkoholu (PVA) v koncentračním rozsahu od 0,002 g/ml do 0,03 g/ml v teplotním rozmezí od 25 °C do 65 °C. Dále byla získána data viskozit před degradací a z celého degradačního procesu při 25 °C, 35 °C a 45 °C, která byla následně použita k výpočtu vnitřních viskozit a jednotlivých konstant. Ze získaných dat vyplývá, že vnitřní viskozity v závislosti na čase mírně klesají. Nejvýraznější pokles byl zaznamenán vždy po první hodině degradace. Mezi třemi teplotami degradačního procesu byla jako nejvhodnější k degradaci zvolena teplota 35 °C.

Abstract:

Densities, viscosities and sound velocities were measured for five PVA solutions in the concentration range from 0.002 g/ml to 0.03 g/ml in the temperature range from 25 °C to 65 °C. Data of viscosity were obtained before degradation and after the whole degradation process at 25 °C, 35 °C and 45 °C which was used to calculate the intrinsic viscosities and individual constants. The obtained data show that the intrinsic viscosities decrease slightly with time. The most significant decrease was always detected after the first hour of degradation. Among the three temperatures of the degradation process, a temperature of 35 °C was chosen as the most suitable for degradation.
