Cuba After the Assumption of Raúl Castro

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje cíle současné zahraniční politiky Kuby, a to především její diplomacii, americké embargo a získávání zahraničních investic. Velké část práce je věnována navazování vztahů mezi Kubou a Spojenými státy. Práce se dále zabývá kubánskou lékařskou diplomacií v rozvojových zemích a současnými vztahy s Ruskem a Čínou. Nakonec jsou rozebírány zahraniční investice na Kubě a potenciál její námořní dopravy a přírodních zdrojů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the objectives of the current foreign policy of Cuba, especially its diplomacy, the United States embargo and the attraction of foreign investments. A great part of the thesis focuses on the re-establishment of relations between Cuba and the United States. The thesis is further concerned with the Cuban medical diplomacy in developing countries and the current relations with Russia and China. Lastly, it is analysed the foreign investments in Cuba and the potential of its maritime traffic and natural resources.
