Migraine and other headaches in relation to nutrition

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis called „Migraines, other headaches and their connection to nutrition“ in it’s theoretical part summarizes basic information of headaches and how they can be affected by one’s nutrition and lifestyle. This study also mentions the comorbidities of these headaches focusing on the link between them and nutrition. Lastly, this thesis lists possible triggers of migraine and headaches and how this knowledge can be used in non-drug therapy. Information obtained via questionnaire conducted among people suffering from headaches is summerized in the practical part of this study. The survey was focused on incidence of triggers and the respondents‘ experience with different types of treatment.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca s názvom „Migrény a iné bolesti hlavy vo vzťahu k výžive“ vo svojej teoretickej časti zhrňuje základné informácie a charakteristiky bolestí hlavy, ktoré môžu byť ovplyvnené stravou a životným štýlom. Ďalej zmieňuje komorbidity týchto bolestí so zameraním na ich súvislosť s výživou. V poslednej časti táto práca uvádza možné spúšťacie faktory bolestí hlavy a využitie týchto znalostí pri nemedikamentóznej terapií. V praktickej časti sú zhrnuté informácie získané pomocou dotazníkového prieskumu medzi jedincami trpiacimi bolesťami hlavy. Prieskum bol zameraný na výskyt spúšťacích faktorov a skúsenosti respondentov s rôznymi druhmi liečby.
