Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaobírá zasazením narativu do sociologického kontextu. Klíčovými osobami se stávají účastnice výzkumných rozhovorů, kterými jsou v prvém případě neplodné indické ženy, v druhém případě ženy, jejímž matkám byl podáván diethylstilbestrol. Srovnávání se zaměřuje na styl přepisu rozhovorů, který se snaží vylíčit přesně výpovědi vypravěček. Práce se zaobírá kritérii a metodologií, která je ovlivněna pozadím teorie, kterou volí jednotlivé výzkumnice při přepisu z původního zdroje. Proces narativní analýzy je mnohostranný. Setkáváme se s různými postupy s různým kriteriálním zvýrazňováním. Práce nahlíží na narativní analýzu výpovědí Cathrine Riessman a Susan Bell. Bell vystavuje narativní analýzu na radikální redukci odpovědi, pomocí které se dostává k metodě nazvané jádro narativu vycházející z práce Williama Labova. Bell je více naslouchající, volí pasivnější přístup než Riessman, která je aktivnější klade rozšiřující otázky. Riessman se zaměřuje na poetickou strukturu jazyka vycházející z práce Jamese Gee. Skrze analytický nástroj, kterým je přístup kvality kvalitativního a interpretujícího výzkumu Yvonny Lincoln „vyjevující kritéria“ práce nahlíží na jednotlivé autorky.

Abstract:

The thesis looks at the nature of narratives and situates them in a sociological context. The core participants of the interview process were, in the first case, a group of randomly selected infertile women from India and in the second case were daughters of women who used diethylstilbestrol. The comparison concetrates on the trascription style of interviews, which whilst trying to portray an accurate account of their subjects. The thesis looks in great detail at the criteria, methodology, which would be influenced by the background theory used by the individual researchers, how the narratives were transcribed from their original source. The process of narrative analysis is multifaceted, there are different methods of analysis which highlight different criteria. The narrative analysis looks at accounts transcribed by Cathrine Riessman and Susan Bell. Bell takes a more passive approach rather than Riessman‘s active style which is built around interjected questions to form the bulk of her narrative account. Bell‘s analysis is based on the radical reduction response, which is called core narrative and which comes from William Labov. Riessman builds her analysis on the poetic structures of language. The thesis looks at the choosen authors through the analytical tool of „emerging criteria“, which is based on the „quality in qualitative and interpretative research“ approach of Yvonna Lincoln.
