Elaboration of CSR report via GRI reporting framework

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce s názvem „Tvorba CSR reportu s využitím reportingového rámce GRI“ se zabývá problematikou reportování o společenské odpovědnosti firem (CSR). Úvodní kapitola je věnována představení konceptu společenské odpovědnosti, souvislostem vzniku a rozvoje tohoto konceptu a současné situaci. Následně je pozornost zaměřena na reportování o CSR aktivitách, včetně uvedení výhod a nevýhod této činnosti. Popsán je vývoj nefinančního reportování v čase a faktory, které jej ovlivňují. Pozornost je věnována i představení a srovnání nejčastěji používaných norem v oblasti CSR. Závěr teoretické části přibližuje Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) a její reportingový rámec. V praktické části jsou na základě uvedené teorie a analýzy materiálů společnosti Arch.Design identifikovány společensky odpovědné aktivity této firmy a dle Směrnic GRI je vypracován CSR report, který umožní jasně a přehledně informovat stakeholdery a napomůže tak maximalizaci přínosů plynoucích z realizace CSR.

Abstract:

This thesis, entitled “Elaboration of CSR report via GRI reporting framework“, is focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting. The introductory chapter is dedicated to the presentation of the CSR concept, its formation and development and the current situation. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on CSR reporting, including its advantages and disadvantages. Development of non-financial reporting and factors that influence it are also described. Attention is also paid to the introduction and comparison of the most commonly used standards in the field of CSR. The last theoretical chapter introduces the Global Reporting Initiative and its reporting framework. In the practical section, social responsible activities of the company Arch.Design are identified based on the aforementioned theory and analysis of the company’s materials. This leads to elaboration of CSR report, which will clearly inform all stakeholders about CSR activities and will help to maximize the benefits of the implementation of CSR.
