Knowledge Economies and the Implementation of a Benefits for selected EU Economy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá znalostní ekonomikou v zemích Evropské unie. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit úroveň této ekonomiky v EU a následně vytvořit návrh pro nejméně rozvinutou znalostní ekonomiku v Unii po vzoru země s nejvíce rozvinutou znalostní ekonomikou v Unii. V rešerši nejdříve definuji, co to znalostní ekonomika je. Následně jsem identifikovala programy pro podporu této ekonomiky v rámci EU, konkrétně Lisabonskou smlouvu a strategii Evropa 2020. Pomocí 4 pilířů znalostní ekonomiky a znalostních indexů hodnotím úroveň této ekonomiky v EU jako celku i v jednotlivých státech. Na základě výsledků jednotlivých států Unie jsem vybrala Švédsko jako nejúspěšnější znalostní ekonomiku a Rumunsko jako ekonomiku s nejméně rozvinutou znalostní ekonomikou. Následně jsem obě ekonomiky popsala a navrhla změny pro Rumunsko. Na závěr jsem svůj návrh zhodnotila.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the knowledge economy in the countries of the European Union. The aim of the work was to evaluate the level of this economy in the EU and then create a proposal for the least developed knowledge economy in the Union, following the example of the country with the most developed knowledge economy in the Union. In the search, I first define what the knowledge economy is. Subsequently, I identified programs to develop this economy within the EU, namely the Lisbon Treaty and the Europe 2020 strategy. Using the 4 pillars of the knowledge economy and knowledge indexes, I assess the level of this economy in the EU as a whole and in individual countries. Based on the results of the individual states of the Union, I chose Sweden as the most successful knowledge economy and Romania as the economy with the least developed knowledge economy. Subsequently, I described both economies and proposed changes for Romania. In the end I evaluated my proposal.
