The emotional intelligence - the development of emotional - social skills of children

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se věnuji tématu Emoční inteligence a možnostem rozvoje emočně sociálních dovedností u dětí. Teoretická část je složena ze dvou částí. První část je věnována pojmu emoční inteligence. Nejprve je zde uveden krátký přehled vývoje jednotlivých přístupů k pojmu inteligence a nástin počátků a východisek emoční inteligence. Dále je zde popsáno současné pojetí emoční inteligence, její definice i popis jejích jednotlivých modelů. Zvláštní kapitola je věnována srovnání IQ x EQ. Druhá část je věnována emočním a sociálním dovednost. Je zaměřena na charakteristiku jednotlivých emočních a sociálních dovedností a na její specifika pro dětský věk. Každá dovednost je doplněná o moji vlastní zkušenost s rozvojem této dovednosti u dětí, se kterými jsem se setkala při práci vychovatelky v dětském domově a při práci učitelky na základní škole. Empirická část je tvořena dvěma samostatnými výzkumy. První výzkum byl zaměřen na zkoumání vzájemných vztahů mezi dětmi sdruženými v určité skupině a na možnosti zlepšování těchto vztahů pomocí záměrného a systematického rozvoje emočně-sociálních dovedností. Druhý výzkum byl zaměřen na následný výběr aktivit dětí po skončení společné aktivity zaměřené na spolupráci a na výběr aktivit dětí po skončení společné aktivity soutěživé. Třetí výzkum byl věnován rozdílu ve výběru hry soutěživé a hry zaměřené na spolupráci mezi chlapci a dívkami stejného věku.

Abstract:

My diploma is concentrated on a subject matter of the emotional intelligence and the development possibility of children´s emotional and social skills. Theoretical part is written to two parts.The first presents an emotive intelligence conception. First of all there is a short survey of the single accesses to the emotive intelligence idea and and the outline of emotive intelligence statrs and conclusions.Then there is given an account of the present emotional intelligence conception and definition and descriptionof its single models. Special part is deliberative to the comparasion of IQ and EQ. The second part presents emotional and social skills. It is concentrated on a characteristic of single emotional and social skills and its specifities for the children´s age. Each skill is completed with my own expirience with the chldren´s progress of the skill which I got as a schoolmistress in children ´s home and as a teacher at a basic school. Empiric part is made up of two individual studies.The first one is specialized on a research of chldren ´s interrelationship associated in a certain group and on the possibilities to improve these relationships by studied and systematic development of the emotional and social skills . The second research is specialized on a successive choice of children´s activity coming after collective activity which isconcentrated on teamwork and on a children´s activity choice after finishing acompetitive teamwork. The third research presents the differences in choosing the competitive and teamwork games between boys and girls at the same age.
