Hypotéza vývojového původu některých onemocnění dává do souvislosti vliv škodlivých environmentálních faktorů se změnami v prenatálním vývoji. Změny vyvolané v průběhu prenatálního období, mají dopad i na postnatální vývoj jedince. The hypothesis of the developmental origin of certain diseases is related to the impact of harmful environmental factors, with changes in prenatal development. Changes induced during the prenatal period also affect postnatal development of the individual.
