Abstract:

Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá pečetěmi moravských mužských premonstrátských kanonií v období od konce první třetiny 15. století do roku 1784, kdy císař Josef II. většinu z nich zrušil. Podává přehled vývoje pečetí zdejších představených – opatů, proboštů – a konventů. Podrobně je popisuje a analyzuje. Získané údaje zasazuje do dobově kulturně-společenského kontextu a srovnává s pečetěmi jiných pečetitelů z církevního prostředí. Všímá si také zpečetěných písemností moravských premonstrátů, které charakterizuje a rozděluje na jednotlivé typy. Věnuje se úlohám, které opati i konventy zastávali v procesu vydávání a pečetění písemností. Detailně rozebírá znění koroborací. V návaznosti na získané informace zkoumá vztah pečeti a písemnosti, funkci pečeti a její proměnu. Na závěr nastiňuje význam pečeti pro moravské premonstrátské kanonie. Součástí práce je podrobný tabulkový rozbor všech zpracovávaných zpečetěných písemností. Nechybí přílohy s obrazovým i textovým doprovodem.

Abstract:

This dissertation focuses on the seals of male Moravian Premonstratensian canonries in the period from the 1430s to 1784 when Emperor Joseph II abolished most of them. It gives an overview of the seals of superiors (abbots and provosts) and convents. It brings their detailed description and analysis. The data obtained are set into the socio-cultural context of the period and compared to the seals of other seal users within the Church. Attention is also paid to sealed documents of the Moravian Premonstratensians, which are characterized and sorted out into particular types. The thesis describes the roles which the abbots and convents played in the process of issuing and sealing documents. It offers a detailed description of the corroboration formula. On the basis of the data acquired, it examines the relation between the seal and the document, purposes of sealing and its development. Finally the thesis points out the meaning of the seal for the Moravian Premonstratensians. It contains full tabular summary of the sealed documents. Accompanying pictures and texts can be found in the supplement.
