Práce spadá tematicky do oblasti sociální politiky. Konkrétně se zabývá u nás dosud nepříliš známým avšak v zahraničí se rozvíjejícím systémem zajišťování sociální péče. Self-directed support (SDS), tedy podpora řízená jednotlivcem, je určena pro lidi s postižením, seniorům a dlouhodobě nemocným. This Bachelor's thesis falls thematically into field of Social Policy. Specifically it deals in Czech Republic yet known, but abroad evolving system of Social Care.
