Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with an early work of William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. The first part of the thesis summarizes the Blake?s main influences, which were essential for creating this work of art. It deals with religious, political, literary and philosophical influences. The second part of the thesis focuses on the proper work. It states the main principles of the work and gives a deeper view into it. Then it divides the text into several parts and analyses each part from the literary, mythological and symbolical point of view. The last part of the thesis shows the originality of the illustrations in the book and describes the method of illumination which was used to create these illustrations.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ranným dílem Williama Blakea s názvem Snoubení nebe a pekla. První část práce shrnuje hlavní Blakeovy vlivy, které byly zásadní při vytváření tohoto díla. To zahrnuje vlivy náboženské, politické, literární a filosofické. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na konkrétní dílo. Uvádí základní poznatky o díle a umožňuje do něj hlouběji nahlédnout. Poté text rozděluje na několik částí a analyzuje každou část z literárního, mytologického a symbolického hlediska. Poslední část práce prezentuje originalitu Blakeových ilustrací díla a popisuje metodu iluminace, která byla při vytváření těchto ilustrací použita.
