Quality of life in patients after traumatic brain injury

Abstract:

Práce se zaobírá problematikou kraniocerebrálního poranění a jeho vlivu na kvalitu života pacientů a členů jejich rodin. Teoretická část je věnována anatomii a fyziologii mozku, traumatickému poškození mozku a ošetřovatelské péči, včetně bazální stimulace. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se zaměřuje na kvalitu života obecně a její hodnocení. Kvalitativní výzkum byl proveden formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s respondentkou po prodělaném kraniocerebrálním poranění a s jedním členem její rodiny. Zajímalo nás, zda u pacientů došlo ke změně kvality života a jak zranění ovlivnilo jejich život, jak z pohledu respondenta samotného, tak i z hlediska příbuzného. Dále nás zajímalo,zda příbuzní a následně i respondentky měli dostatek validních informací o průběhu a předpokládaném vývoji zdravotního stavu jejich příbuzného během celé rekonvalescence a zda byli edukováni, jak mohou svému příbuznému pomoci v rekonvalescenci.

Abstract:

Work deals with the issue of craniocerebral injury of his influence on the quality of life of patients, family members. The theoretical part is devoted to the physiology of the brain anatomy, brain injury, nursing care, including basal stimulation. The last part of the theory focuses on quality of life and its general assessment. Qualitative research was conducted through semi-structured interview with the patient after myocardial injury and kraniocerbrálním with its one member of the family. I wonder if patients have changed the quality of life and how the injury has affected his life, both in terms of the respondent itself and in terms of a relative. Furthermore wonders whether the relatives and the patient subsequently had enough valid information about the course, expected development of the state of health during the recovery and whether they were educated, how they can help their kin in convalescence.
