Influence of the Iraq War on the international relations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu Války v Iráku na mezinárodní vztahy. Podrobně se věnuje mezinárodním vztahům před válkou, následně příčinám, které válku způsobily, následkům konfliktu a přístupům jednotlivých států, od kterých se odvíjely i mezinárodní vztahy. Hlavním cílem práce je na základě analýzy zjistit, jak byly válkou ovlivněny mezinárodní vztahy a zda se situace v regionu Blízkého východu uklidnila či nikoliv. Dílčím cílem je pak zachycení hlavních okolnosti, které k válce v Iráku vedly. Práce je rozčleněna do tří kapitol. První kapitola je věnována období mezi koncem studené války a začátkem 2. Války v Iráku. Zabývá se tedy vývojem událostí, které vedly k vojenské Operaci Irácká svoboda. Druhá kapitola se zabývá samotným konfliktem, jeho legitimností a skutečným záměrem operace. V poslední kapitole se zabývám reakcemi mezinárodního společenství na samotný konflikt, úspěšností strategie USA a mezinárodními vztahy po skončení konfliktu.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis analyzes the influence of the War in Iraq on the international relations. It is focused on the international relations before war, causes of the war and approaches of the individual states which influenced international relations after war. The main objective of the thesis is to analyze how the intrnational relations were affected by the conflict and whether the situation in the Middle East became more stable or not. The partial aim is to capture the main circumstances that led to the War in Iraq. Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter relates to the time period between the end of the Cold War and the beginning of the 2. War in Iraq. It is focused on the main events that led to the Operation Iraqi freedom. The second chapter provides information about the conflict itself, its legitimacy and the real purpose of the operation. In the last chapter I deal with the reactions of the international community to the conflict, the success of the US strategy and the post-conflict international relations.
