Perception of Taxes and Tax Literacy of the Residens of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vnímáním daní a daňovou gramotností obyvatel Zlínského kraje. Hlavním cílem výzkumného projektu je zjistit, jaké je vnímání daní a daňová gramotnost obyvatel. Dílčími cíli je zjistit, zda se vnímání daní obyvatel liší v závislosti na daňové gramotnosti a dalších socio-ekonomických aspektech. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou uvedeny základní daňové pojmy, dále je podrobně popsán daňový systém České republiky, státní rozpočet a je provedena rešerše výzkumů, které již byly na toto téma zpracovány. V praktické části byl nejdříve zhodnocen daňový systém České republiky. Dále je proveden výzkum vnímání daní a daňové gramotnosti, pro který byla zvolena metoda kvantitativního výzkumu, konkrétně metoda dotazníkového šetření. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, jaká je daňová gramotnost a vnímání daní obyvatel Zlínského kraje, a čím jsou tyto skutečnosti ovlivněny.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the perception of taxes and tax literacy of the inhabitants of the Zlín Region. The main objective of the research project is to find out what is the perception of taxes and tax literacy of the population. The sub-objectives are to find out whether the tax perception of the population differs depending on tax literacy and other socio-economic aspects. In the theoretical part of the thesis, basic tax concepts are presented, the tax system of the Czech Republic and the state budget are described in detail and a search of researches that have already been conducted on this topic is carried out. In the practical part, the tax system of the Czech Republic was first evaluated. Next, research on the perception of taxes and tax literacy is conducted, for which the method of quantitative research was chosen, namely the method of questionnaire survey. The main result of the thesis is to find out what is tax literacy and perception of taxes of the inhabitants in the Zlín Region and how these facts are influenced.
