Self-Care of a Patient with Colostomy and Ileostomy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problémy pacientů s kolostomií a ileostomií. Poukazuje na kvalitu života pacientů se založenou stomií po návratu z nemocnice do domácího prostředí. Měla by poukázat na možnosti zlepšení kvality života v oblasti ošetřování stomií, sebepéče, na možnosti výběru vhodného oblečení. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí. V teoretické části je v krátkosti popsána anatomie tenkého a tlustého střeva. Dále se zaměřuje na samotné stomie, charakteristiku, důvody založení, možné komplikace stomií, vhodné pomůcky, sebepéči. Zabývá se teorií deficitu sebepéče D. E. Oremové. Poukazuje na důležitost pacientovy péče o sebe a možnosti výběru vhodného oblečení pro zlepšení kvality života stomiků. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak jsou pacienti, kterým byla provedena stomie, informováni v oblasti ošetřování po operaci, jejich spokojenost. Praktická část se zaměřuje na vnímání kvality života pacientů po založení stomií, změnu způsobu jejich oblékání, na informovanost pacientů o nabídce a dostupnosti stomických pomůcek. Dále zjišťuje, jak jsou pacienti informováni o nabídce vhodného oblečení a jaká je sebepéče klientů v oblasti péče o stomie, zda používají vhodné oblečení.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis is aimed to problems of pacients with colostomy and ileostomy. It points to quality of patients life with stomia after returning back home from hospital. It also shows possibilities of improving the qualities of patiens life in area of taking care of stomia, selfcare, posibilities of choosing good clothing for these patients. This Batchelor thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part there is described anatomy of small intestine and large intestine. A lot of attention is also paid to stomia itself, especially its characteristic, reasons and possible complications of stomia, also suitable aid and selfcare. There is also a lot of paid attention to theory of deficit of selfcare of D.E.Orem. Again there is shown the importance of patiens selfcare and possibilities of choosing proper clothing to improve the quality of stomicś life. The aim of this Batchelor thesis is to find out, how patients, to whom the stomia had been applied, are informed in the area of selfcare, especialy after operation and also their general satisfaction. In the practical part there is paid attention mainly to percieving quality of patiens life after the stomia application, change of style in clothing and also the possibilities of patiens information about availability of patients aid with stomia. There is also some research of how patients are informed in the field of proper clothing offers and also about selfcare in the field of patients with stomia, especially if they wear proper clothing.
