This Bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of reflecting social events using the example of Friedrich Dürrenmatt's psychological crime novel Der Richter und sein Henker (The Judge and His Hangman) from 1951. The paper analyses the social, historical, and political situation in Switzerland at the time the novel was written and its influence on the author's work. Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Widerspiegelung der gesellschaftlichen Ereignisse am Beispiel des Krimi-Romans Der Richter und sein Henker von Friedrich Dürrenmatt von 1951, einem psychologischen Kriminalroman.
