Abstract:

Genderové kvóty mají za cíl vyrovnat zastoupení mužů a žen nejčastěji na politické scéně, avšak jejich forma se může lišit. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá samostatným zavedením legislativních genderových kvót v jednotlivých státech EU. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda existuje vztah mezi národní politikou jednotlivých států EU v oblasti zavádění legislativních genderových kvót a genderovými postoji obyvatel těchto států. Vztah mezi postoji obyvatel k roli žen, které jsou zachyceny v dotazníkových šetřeních European Value Study a World Value Study, a zavedení genderových kvót v sledovaných zemích EU, je zkoumán pomocí statistických metod, kterými je binární logistická regrese a metoda rozhodovacího stromu. Těmito metodami bylo zjištěno, že vztah mezi proměnnými veličinami existuje. Ve státech, ve kterých žijí obyvatelé, kteří jsou spíše genderově stereotypní, neexistují legislativní genderové kvóty. Dále byly odhaleny genderové stereotypy, které jsou silnější než jiné. Těmito generovými stereotypy jsou postoje ohledně zaměstnanosti matek, vůdcovství v obchodní sféře a vůdcovství v politické sféře. Práce může sloužit jako další podklad k poznání ohledně genderových kvót a jednotlivých politik členských států EU.

Abstract:

Gender quotas aim to balance the representation of men and women most often on the political scene, but their form may vary. This diploma thesis deals with the legidlative gender quotas in individual EU countries. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether there is a relationship between the national policy of individual EU states in the field of introducing legislative gender quotas and the gender attitudes of the inhabitants of these states. The relationship between the attitudes of the population to the role of women, which are captured in the European Value Study and World Value Study questionnaires, and the introduction of gender quotas in the monitored EU countries, is examined by using statistical methods such as binary logistic regression and decision tree method. These methods revealed that the relationship between the variables existed. There are no legislative gender quotas in countries with people who are more gender-stereotyped. Furthermore, there was a revelation that some gender stereotypes are stronger than others. These gender stereotypes are attitudes about mothers' employment, business leadership and political leadership. That thesis can serve as another basis for knowledge about gender quotas and individual policies of EU member states.
