Glassmaking as an Attraction in the Central area of river Sázava

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá využitím kulturního kapitálu v cestovním ruchu, ve výzkumu konkrétně aplikován na postavení sklářství v rámci kulturního turismu v oblasti Středního Posázaví. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda probíhá spolupráce mezi sklářskými subjekty a organizacemi destinačního managementu a jakou formou je sklářství propagováno směrem k návštěvníkům. Jako výzkumná metoda byly zvoleny hloubkové rozhovory se zástupci destinačních společností a skláren působících v oblasti. Na základě výzkumu byla zjištěna aktivní spolupráce napříč subjekty s cílem přiblížit sklářství návštěvníkům a formování nových vztahů v rámci destinace. Hlavním úskalím spolupráce je ve zkoumané oblasti především administrativní hranice krajů a existenční krize v návaznosti na pandemii nemoci Covid-19. Naopak hlavním pozitivním zjištěním je aktivní participace jednotlivých subjektů na propagaci sklářství široké veřejnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of cultural capital in tourism, in which the research is specifically applied to the position of glassmaking within the Central area of river Sázava. The aim of this thesis is to find out whether there is cooperation between glassmakers and destination management organisations and in what form glassmaking is promoted to visitors. In depth interviews with representatives from the destination management organisations and various glassworks operating in the area were chosen as the research method. Based on the research, active cooperation was found across various entities with the aim of bringing glassmaking closer to the visitors and to shape new relationships within the region. The main pitfalls of cooperation in the area under investigation are mainly the administrative boundaries of the regions and the existential crisis following the Covid-19 pandemic. On the contrary, a positive finding is the active participation of individual entities in the promotion of glassmaking to the general public.
