The submitted diploma thesis deals with the issue of statutory cities, specifically territorially divided statutory cities. The aim of the work is to analyze the historical development of the position of statutory cities, especially in terms of legislative changes and the analysis and comparison of selected statutory cities of Usti nad Labem and Most.
