The effect of different establishment methods of catch crop mixtures on biomass production

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vlivu založení porostů vybraných meziplodinových směsí různými způsoby (bez a s využitím podmítky) na jejich produkci biomasy v roce 2022 a 2023. Z výsledků v roce 2022 vyplývá, že nebyl prokázán vliv přímého setí na výnos čerstvé i suché biomasy ve srovnání se setím po podmítce. Sušina meziplodinových směsí dosahovala 22,87 % až 30,38 %. Vyšší sušina biomasy meziplodinových směsí byla způsobena pokročilou vegetační fází některých komponent. U sledovaného parametru výška rostlin a délka kořenů se neprokázal vliv přímého setí ve srovnání s podmítkou. Půdní vlhkost byla vyšší u variant bez podmítky. Neprokázal se vliv meziplodin na půdní vláhu. V roce 2023 byla vyhodnocena pouze varianta s přímým setím, varianta s podmítkou byla zrušena z důvodu silného tlaku výdrolu ječmene ozimého. Z výsledků vyplývá, že produkce čerstvé biomasy byla od 8,8 t.ha-1 do 20,38 t.ha-1, produkce suché biomasy byla od 2,15 t.ha-1 do 2,78 t.ha-1. Sušina se pohybovala od 14,66 % do 25,35 %. Výška rostlin a délka kořenů jednotlivých komponent se odvíjela od jejich růstové dynamiky a dominance.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the effect of establishment of selected catch crop mixtures by different methods (without and with the use of stubble breaking) on their biomass production in 2022 and 2023. The results in 2022 show that there was no effect of direct sowing on fresh and dry biomass yield compared to stubble breaking. The dry weight of catch crop mixtures ranged from 22.87% to 30.38%. The higher dry weight of biomass of catch crop mixtures was due to the advanced vegetative stage of some components. For the parameter plant height and root length observed, the effect of direct sowing compared to stubble breaking was not evident. Soil moisture was higher in the variants without stubble breaking. There was no effect of catch crops on soil moisture content. In 2023, the direct drilling only option was evaluated, the variant with stubble breaking was cancelled due to strong pressure of volunteer winter barley (as previous crop). The results show that fresh biomass production ranged from 8.8 t ha-1 to 20.38 t ha-1, while dry biomass production ranged from 2.15 t ha-1 to 2.78 t ha-1. The dry matter ranged from 14.66% to 25.35%. The plant height and root length of each component depended on their growth dynamics and dominance.
