Narrative presentation and interrogation of social conventions in the stories of Katherine Mansfield

Narrative presentation and interrogation of social conventions in the stories of Katherine Mansfield
Abstract:
Abstract:
The thesis presents analysis of six stories written by Katherine Mansfield. Analysis concentrated on the narrative techniques used by Katherine Mansfield (direct discourse, indirect discourse, free indirect discourse). Another aim of the thesis was which social institutions and conventions Katherine Mansfield criticized in her stories.
