The evaluation of oral production and common european framework of reference for languages

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the oral performance of students, who should be of the A2, B1 levels according to the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The aim of the thesis was to find out whether the 4th year's students and the 3rd year's students differentiate from each other in a significant way, and what problems arise with this language competence. The theoretical part defines oral performance as one of the basic language skills; it refers to its position in the main methods of teaching foreign languages, its position within school documents, course books and the process of evaluation. The practical part contains an analysis of the acquired recordings of the 3rd and 4th years´ students of the Grammar School in Hladnov and Františka Živného in Bohumín, a questionnaire, the aim of which was to find out how the students themselves perceived this language skill, and finally, the creation of pedagogical materials which serve as didactic materials for the development of oral skills in the French classes at grammar schools.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá hodnocením mluveného projevu žáků, kteří mají dosahovat úrovně A2, B1 podle kritérií Společného evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky. Chtěli jsme se dozvědět, zda se žáci čtvrtého ročníku a žáci třetího ročníku od sebe výrazněji liší a jaké problémy vyvstávají u této jazykové kompetence. Teoretická část definuje mluvený projev jako jednu ze základních jazykových kompetencí, poukazuje na její postavení v hlavních metodách vyučování cizích jazyků, její postavení ve školních dokumentech, učebnici a procesu hodnocení. Praktická část obsahuje rozbor pořízených nahrávek studentů třetích a čtvrtých ročníků Gymnázia Hladnov a Gymnázia Františka Živného v Bohumíně, dotazník, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jak samotní žáci vnímají tuto jazykovou kompetenci a nakonec vytvoření pedagogických listů, které slouží jako didaktický materiál pro rozvoj mluveného projevu v hodinách francouzského jazyka na gymnáziích
