Premenstrual syndrome

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou premenstruačního syndromu. Bakalářská práce je složena z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části je popsána anatomie ženského reprodukčního systému, průběh a fáze fyziologického menstruačního cyklu, etiologie premenstruačního syndromu, příznaky premenstruačního syndromu. Dále pak byly popsány druhy nefarmakologické léčby využívané při PMS. Například využití homeopatie, aromaterapie Výzkumná část práce byla prováděna kvantitativní metodou, a to formou dotazníkového šetření. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jestli ženy, u nichž se vyskytuje premenstruační syndrom, využívají spíše farmakologickou či nefarmakologickou metodu úlevy. Dále pak analyzovat nejčastější psychické a fyzické příznaky premenstruačního syndromu. Výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu byly zaznamenány v grafech. Za hlavní výsledky tohoto výzkumného šetření lze považovat to, že více než polovina žen využívá spíše nefarmakologickou léčbu. Mezi nejčastěji uváděné metody patřilo využití tepla, bylin a relaxace. Více žen uvedlo, že trpí spíše fyzickými než psychickými příznaky. Nejvíce se vyskytující fyzické příznaky byly křeče v podbřišku a zvýšená chuť k jídlu. Dalším zjištěním bylo, že nadpoloviční počet žen trpí premenstruačním syndromem 13 dny před nástupem menstruačního krvácení.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the issue of premenstrual syndrome. Bachelor thesis consists of empirical and practical part. In empirical part focuses on anatomy of woman´s reproductive system, process and phase of physiological menstrual cycle, aetiology of premenstrual syndrome, symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. Further were described types of non-pharmacological treatment used for premenstrual syndrome. For example, homeopathy, aromatherapy etc. The research part was realised by quantitative method, specifically the questionnaire survey. The main goal of this thesis was to find out which treatment method use women with premenstrual syndrome. Whether they use pharmacological or non-pharmacological method. Furthermore, to analyse the most frequent mental and physical symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. The results of quantitative survey were put down to charts. The main outcome of this survey shows that more than a half of women use rather non-pharmacological treatment. Some of the most frequent methods are heat therapy, relaxation and herbs. Higher number of women suffers more from physical symptoms rather than from mental symptoms. Most common physical symptoms were spasms in hypogastrium and increased appetite. Another finding was that more than a half of women suffers from premenstrual syndrome 1 to 3 days before beginning of menstrual bleeding.
