Chemie je často vnímána jako komplikovaná věda a hodně lidí k ní má negativní postoj. Ve společnosti se tak vyskytuje mnoho polopravd a zkreslených informací, které jsou podporovány internetem a dalšími typy médií. Chemistry is often perceived as a tangled science branch, therefore, a lot of people have a negative stance towards it. As a result of that, plenty of myths, half-truths and distorted information are occurring on the internet and are shared through various kinds of media.
