Current knowledge on water erosion and their applications with an emphasis on the erosion control effect of vegetation

Abstract:

Tato disertační práce hodnotila aktuální poznatky problematiky vodní eroze a možnosti jejich efektivního využití se zaměřením na půdoochranný vliv vegetace. Analyzován byl vývoj a současný stav problematiky vodní eroze na zemědělských půdách v České republice s důrazem na nové poznatky a trendy a byly vytvořeny mapové výstupy zobrazující ztráty půdy vodní erozí v České republice. Byl posouzen vliv probíhajících změn klimatu na erozní ohroženost zemědělské půd v ČR a na dostatečnost současných protierozních opatření. Byly zahájeny práce na stanovení aktuálních hodnot faktoru ochranného vlivu vegetace v České republice, což však bude z principu nikdy nekončící proces. Pro tento účel však byly revidovány a posouzeny možnosti efektivní aktualizace a doplnění katalogu těchto hodnot pro zemědělské plodiny včetně meziplodin, nejčastěji zastoupených na území ČR.

Abstract:

This dissertation evaluated the current knowledge of water erosion and the possibilities of its effective use with a focus on the erosion control effect of vegetation. It analysed the development and current status of water erosion on agricultural soils in the Czech Republic with emphasis on new findings and trends and produced map outputs showing water erosion losses in the Czech Republic. The impact of ongoing climate change on the erosion threat to agricultural soils in the Czech Republic and the sufficiency of current erosion control measures was assessed. Work has been initiated to determine the current values of the vegetation protection factor in the Czech Republic, which will, however, be a never-ending process in principle. For this purpose, however, the possibilities of effective updating and supplementing of the catalogue of these values for agricultural crops, including intercrops, most frequently represented in the territory of the Czech Republic, have been reviewed and assessed.
