The impact of the implementation of the right of use of leased asset in selected entities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá dopadem aplikace principu převodu práva užívání podle Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví a Všeobecně uznávaných účetních principů. Cílem práce je analýza nových pravidel vykazovaní leasingů, které vznikly v důsledku dlouhodobého procesu konvergence, a jejich dopad na účetní výkazy společností. Na začátku práce jsou popsána původní pravidla vykazování leasingů dle standardů IAS 17 a ASC 840, a také průběh vývoje celého konvergenčního pro-jektu Leasingy od záměru až k realizaci. Následně jsou představované nové stan-dardy IFRS 16 a ASC 842, popsané rozdíly mezi nimi a předpokládané jejich vlivy na účetní výkazy společností. Praktická část ilustruje aplikace nových pravidel výkaz-nictví leasingů na základě skutečných leasingových smluv vybrané společnosti, také je sestavované finanční výkazy s důrazem na dopad aplikace nových uprav. V závěru je rozebrán vliv nových pravidel na finanční ukazatele vybrané společnosti.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the impact of the application of the principle of transfer of the right of use according to International Financial Reporting Standards and generally accepted accounting principles. The aim of this work is to analyze the new rules of leasing reporting, which arose because of a long process of conver-gence, and their impact on the financial statements of companies. At the beginning of the work are described the original rules for leasing reporting according to IAS 17 and ASC 840, as well as the process of development of the entire convergence project Leases from design to implementation. Subsequently, the new IFRS 16 and ASC 842 standards are presented, the differences between them described and their effects on the companies' financial statements given. The practical part illustrates the application of new regular reporting of leases based on actual leasing contracts of the selected company, compiles financial statements with emphasis on the impact of the application of new regulations. Finally, the impact of the new rules on the fi-nancial indicators of the selected company is discussed.
