Cieľom diplomovej práce je priblíženie problematiky kapitálu komerčných bánk a jej primeranosť vzhľadom na Bazilejskú dohodu. Diplomová práca je rozdelená do troch častí, z ktorých prvá kapitola charakterizuje komerčnú banku ako podnikateľský subjekt, kde sú jednotlivo popísané operácie komerčných bánk.
