The nation for others: cultural activities of ethnical minorities associations operating in Brno

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na bližší seznámení se s kulturními aktivitami 5 spolků národnostních menšin (Slováků, Rusů, Ukrajinců, Poláků a Řeků), které působí na území města Brna. Součástí práce je teoretický vhled do problematiky národnostních menšin, popis historie a činnosti spolků s důrazem na jejich kulturní aktivity. Dále je zde srovnána kulturní činorodost brněnských a pražských spolků daných národnostních menšin. V praktické části práce je provedena analýza výsledků dotazníkového šetření, zkoumajícího jaký typ návštěvníků se kulturních akcí těchto spolků účastní a z jakých informačních zdrojů se o akcích dozvěděli. V práci jsou také představeny poziční mapy, které definují postavení jednotlivých spolků na trhu a analýza finančních prostředků, jež spolky získávají a využívají pro realizaci svých aktivit.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the cultural activities of 5 associations of national minorities (Slovaks, Russians, Ukrainians, Polishs and Greeks) who are active in the territory of Brno. The thesis consists of a theoretical insight into the problems of national minorities, a description of the history and activities of the associations with an emphasis on their cultural activities. It also compares the agility of associations of the given national minorities from Brno and Prague. In the practical part of the thesis the results of the questionnaire are analyzed, examining what type of visitors participate in the cultural events of these associations and which kind of information sources they use to learn about the events. The thesis also presents position maps that define the position of individual association in the market and the analysis of the financial resources that the associations acquire and use for the realization of their activities.
