Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématem vývoje veřejného mínění o Senátu ČR v letech 1996-2009. Je rozdělená na dvě části. První část se zabývá teoretickým popisem veřejného mínění a Senátu. Přináší přehled historie a vývoj obou témat. V případě Senátu se dále zabývá jeho postavením v politickém systému ČR a funkcemi, které Senát plní. Kapitola o veřejném mínění dále přináší popis a způsoby jeho zkoumání a také možnosti, jak lze veřejné mínění používat v praxi. Druhá část se snaží analyzovat vývoj postojů české veřejnosti v otázce „horní komory“ Parlamentu ČR, porovnat jeho oblíbenost s oblíbeností Poslanecké sněmovny a zmapovat vývoj důvěry občanů v tuto instituci.

Abstract:

The publication is about the public opinion and the Senate of the Czech repulic and its evolution. It is comprised of two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical concepts of the Senate and public opinion. There is a short history of both themes. It is about the functions and the role of the Senate in the czech political system too. There is also chapter about the public opinion researche and the way in which is public opinion used. The second part of this publication attemps to analyse the public opinion about the Senate in 1996 to 2009. It also attempts to map out the confidence to the Senate and it tries to compare the confidence to the Senate with the confidence to the Chamber of deputies.
