Welfare state reforms have been a focus of domestic policy making in many European countries in recent years. The thesis aims to map out changes in the welfare regimes during the last decades in Germany and the United Kingdom, countries which represent nearly a third of the EU population and encompass two distinct welfare state typologies: conservative and liberal.Abstract:
