Verification of the suitability of selected varieties of Asian slivons for the conditions of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ověřením vhodnosti pěstování vybraných odrůd asijských slivoní v podmínkách České republiky. Cílem práce je zhodnotit možnosti pěstování asijských slivoní na území České republiky. Úvod práce obsahuje informace o původu a historii pěstování druhů slivoní Prunus domestica L. a Prunus salicina Lindl. Zároveň jsou popsány vhodné podnože pro slivoně, choroby a škůdci těchto stromů a také způsoby pěstování. Čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje měření a vyhodnocení pomologických znaků vybraných odrůd. Pozorování, měření a hodnocení se konalo ve výsadbě slivoní na pozemcích Zahradnické fakulty v Lednici v roce 2020. Závěr práce se zaměřuje na vyhodnocení výsledků měření, které jsou zaznamenány v tabulkách a grafech. Součástí práce je fotodokumentace stromů a plodů vybraných odrůd asijských slivoní.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the verification of the suitability of growing selected varieties of Asian plums in the conditions of the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of growing Asian plums in the Czech Republic. First part of the thesis contains information on the origin and history of growing plum species Prunus domestica L. and Prunus salicina Lindl. At the same time, suitable rootstocks for plums, diseases and pests of these trees are described, as well as cultivation methods. The fourth chapter deals with the measurement and evaluation of pomological features of selected varieties. Observation, measurement and evaluation took place in the planting of plums on the land of the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice in 2020. The final part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of measurement results, which are recorded in tables and graphs. The thesis contains photo documentation of trees and fruits of selected varieties of Asian plums.
