Forest kindergartens or evaluation of a new alternative by the Czech population

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem názoru na lesních mateřských škol v kontextu české společnosti. Cílem práce je najít témata, která jsou veřejností nejvíce řešena a určit jejich dimenzi a závažnost. Protože se práce částečně orientuje na negativní postoje, pracuje teoretická část jak s východisky lesních mateřských škol, tak i s pojmy jako jsou předsudky v obecné rovině i v kontextu výchovy dětí. Mimo to objasňuje teoretická část základní tematické okruhy, tedy historii a současnost lesních mateřských škol v zahraničí a především v České republice. Empirická část práce sestává ze tří částí – kvalitativní, jež analyzuje rozhovory s rodiči dětí navštěvujících lesní mateřskou školu, a dvou kvantitativních, která se zabývá obsahovou analýzou internetové diskuse a analýzou odpovědí dotazníkového šetření získané od dospělé populace.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with views on forest kindergartens in the context of Czech society. The aim is to find the issues that are most frequently addressed by the public and to determine the dimension and importance. The work partially focused on negative attitudes. Therefore, the theoretical part is engaged both with the possibilities of forest kindergartens, as well as the concepts such as prejudice in the context of raising children. In addition, the theoretical part also addresses basic themes, such as history and present of forest kindergartens abroad, and chiefly in the Czech Republic. The empirical part consists of three parts. The qualitative part analyses the interviews with parents of the children attending a forest kindergarten. The two quantitative parts deal with the content analysis of the online discussion, and analysis of the survey responses obtained from adult population.
