Expenditure approach of gross domestic product of Czech republic

Abstract:

Hrubý domácí produkt je jeden ze čtyř agregovaných ukazatelů národního hospodářství. Jedna z metod, jak vypočítat HDP, se nazývá výdajová metoda. Tato výdajová metoda se skládá z 3 hlavních komponentů: výdaje na konečnou spotřebu, tvorba hrubého kapitálu a zahraniční obchod. Cílem v teoretické části je ozřejmit pojmy týkající se HDP a jednotlivé komponenty výdajové metody. Cílem v praktické části bylo zodpovědět na 2 hypotézy. První hypotéza měla ověřit, zda výdaje domácností v jednotlivých letech dosahují 50 % celkového HDP. Druhá hypotéza se ptala, jestli výdaje domácností přispívaly k tempu růstu HDP také 50 % v jednotlivých letech. Hodnoty pro výpočet těchto hypotéz byly vzaty z Českého statistického úřadu. Jednalo se o stálé ceny, průměr předchozího roku, sezónně očištěny a běžné ceny, sezónně očištěny. Na základě analýzy se stala první hypotéza platná a druhá hypotéza se stala neplatnou.

Abstract:

Gross domestic product is one of the 4 aggregate indicators of the national economy. One of the methods of calculating gross domestic product is called the expenditure approach. The expenditure method consists of 3 main components: expenditure on final consumption, gross capital formation and foreign trade. The aim of the theoretical part is to clarify the terms of GDP and the individual components of the expenditure approach. The aim of practical part was to answer to the 2 hypotheses. The first hypothesis was to determine whether expenditure of households represents 50 % of total GDP each year. The second hypothesis asked whether expenditure of households contributed to the growth rate of GDP also 50 % each year. Values for the calculation of these hypotheses have been taken from the Czech Statistical Office. It was constant prices, average of the previous year, seasonally adjusted and current prices, seasonally adjusted. On the basis of analysis became the first hypothesis valid and the second hypothesis was not valid.
