Religion and Spirituality in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá náboženskými a duchovními tématy trilogie Jeho temné esence autora Philipa Pullmana. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat tato témata a jejich vliv na vývoj příběhu. Pozornost je věnována především mýtu Prvotního hříchu a ztvárnění duše v paralelních světech těchto románů.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with religious and spiritual topics in Philip Pullman’s trilogy His Dark Materials. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the topics and their influence on the development of the story. The focus is aimed at the myth of the Original Sin, and the depiction of the soul in the parallel universes of the trilogy.
