Military expenditures:accelerator or break of economic growth?

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to answer the following research question: Can spending on defense support economic growth? The first part of this wokr is focused on understanding the economic fluctuations that occurred during the economic crisis and the possibility of mitigating its consequences, with the help of government expenditures. The rest of the thesis is devoted to the Czechoslovak economy and to the actual armament and construction of the Czechoslovak fortification. At the end of the thesis, the impacts of government spending on the Czechoslovak economy and the answer to the research question are summarized.

Abstract:

Cieľom bakalárskej práce je zodpovedanie výskumnej otázky, či výdaje na obranu môžu podporiť ekonomický rast. Prvá časť je zameraná na základné pochopenie ekonomických výkyvov, ktoré nastali počas obdobia hospodárskej krízy, a možnosť ako za pomoci vládnych výdajov zmierniť jej dôsledky. V ďalších častiach sa práca venuje opisu Československej ekonomiky, samotnému zbrojeniu a stavbe Československého opevnenia. V závere práce sú zhrnuté dopady vládnych výdajov na československú ekonomiku a zodpovedá na výskumnú otázku.
