Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je plné pochopení toho, co je cena za výkon a jaká je jeho role při účinném řízení výkonu. Throeretickým aspektem této bakalářské práce bude podrobný přehled literatury o existujících knihách a časopisech týkajících se odměňování za výkon a řízení výkonu. Prozkoumám všechny teorie, které tvoří odměnu za výkon, jako jsou celkové odměny, motivace a řízení zpětné vazby. V praktické části této práce; Budu přezkoumávat vývoj agilního řízení výkonu z tradičního každoročního hodnocení. Tento vývoj bude hodnocen očima 3 společností: analyzováním jejich provozního sektoru a poté pokračováním funkcí jejich odměňování za výkonové systémy, které je oddělují. V závěrečné části této praktické části je výzkumná práce zaměřena na názory odborníků z oblasti odměňování za výkon v jejich příslušných organizacích. Tento výzkum byl proveden formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s cílem získat názory 7 profesionálů v oblasti lidských zdrojů. Poté byly provedeny korelace mezi odpověďmi na otázky z rozhovorů s částmi teoretických aspektů, aby bylo možné dosáhnout jejich cíle a dílčích cílů. Odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku a poskytnout cestu společnostem může zvýšit jejich produktivitu pomocí systému Pay for Performance.

Abstract:

Pay for Performance is an age old concept. One would think that considering the amount of time it has been around for; there would be a deifinite use case or directive regarding it’s implementation and effectiveness as a productivity hack for businesses. However, this is not the case. Pay for Performance remains a polarizing topic amongst Human Resource mangers. With this thesis, I have sought to take an in-depth look at the topic; considering deeply the pros and cons of Pay for Performance as a competitive advantage for businesses. Having a solid compesation scheme is very important in today’s fast paced business world. Without it, competitors can easily poach talent from your business and even those emploees not poached would be bereft of motivation to carry out their duties. The driving purpose of this bachelor thesis is understanding fully what pay for performance is and its role if any in effective performance management. The throeretical aspect of this bachelor thesis will be an in-depth literature review of existing books and journals relating to Pay for Performance and Performance management. I will to explore all theories that make up Pay for Performance like total rewards, motivation and feedback management. In the practical part of this thesis; I will review the evolution of agile performance management from traditional annual appraisal. This evolution will be assessed through the eyes of 3 companies: analysing their operating sector and then go on to the features of their pay for performance systems that sets them apart. In the final part of this practical part is a research paper will seek the opinions of industry professionals on the matter of pay for performance in their respective organizations. This research was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews to collect the opinions of 7 HR professionals. Correlations between the answers of the interview questions were then made to the sections of the theoretical aspects to be able to achieve the goal and sub-goals of this these. To also answer the research question and provide a pathway by companies can boost their productivity by utilizing a Performance Pay system.
