Bark beetle - Ips typographus (Linnaeus, 1758) causes with significant share the decay of mountain spruce stands in the Czech Republic. In the researched area "Oderské vrchy" causes the decay together with the double spined bark beetle - Ips duplicatus (C.R. Sahlberg, 1836).
