Compulsive gambling at the secondary school students in the Czech Rrepublic

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá závislostí na hazardních hrách a vztahem studentů středních škol v České republice k nim. Práce nejprve v teoretické části rozebírá dosavadní poznatky o patologickém hráčství a následně v části praktické prezentuje výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu, který byl proveden v roce 2010 mezi studenty maturitních a předmaturitních ročníků brněnských středních škol. Následné závěry výzkumu jsou učiněny pomocí statistické analýzy. V závěrečné části práce jsou na základě zkušeností s prostředím hazardních her potvrzeny některé již známé teze o této problematice, ale také uvedeny zcela nové poznatky.

Abstract:

The study deals with the gambling addiction and the relationship of the secondary school students in the Czech Republich to this addiction. First, the study focuses on the current theoretical knowledge of the compulsive gambling and consequently, the results of the quantitative research, carried out in 2010 among the students of graduation and pre-graduation year of the Brno secondary schools, are presented. The follow-up conclusions are made on the basis of statistic analysis. In the final part of the work, current theoretical theses are confirmed based on the experience with the gambling environment and also new theses are presented.
